How One Program is Proving Every Woman is Worth It
When we say we’re obsessed for good, it means we rely on passion, dedication, and unwavering resolution to create meaningful and measurable change. This is what we strive for in how we operate, how we approach our work, and the clients and causes we support.
Oklahoma has incarcerated more women per capita than anywhere else in the world for nearly three decades, devastating impacted families across the state. Criminal justice reform is an issue that’s been a passion of ours for more than a decade and we’ve been fortunate enough to partner with amazing organizations working to combat this crisis.
ReMerge of Oklahoma County is one of these organizations. This diversion program was established in 2011 with the mission of breaking the intergenerational cycle of trauma, poverty, and incarceration by restoring mothers to their families and our community.
In 2021, ReMerge celebrated 10 years of making a difference in Oklahoma, successfully graduating 149 women who parent 372 children, and saving the state of Oklahoma more than $32 million by providing a pathway for mothers to reintegrate into their communities, rather than be incarcerated and separated from their children.
Our team was thrilled to award ReMerge a Saxum Step Up grant—a program where we donate services to qualifying nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in their communities—to celebrate this important anniversary of the program. The fact that Saxum supported the launch of ReMerge 10 years ago was an added bonus, making this a special milestone for our team, too.
We developed a creative campaign centered around the phrase, “I’m worth it,” featuring women who have graduated from the program, and highlighting the impact made both in the community and in the lives of these women and their families. Our goal was to showcase the strength and resilience of these women and their personal missions to take back their lives through powerful visuals and messaging.
The creative was featured at ReMerge’s Annual Luncheon fundraiser and at the 2021 graduation ceremony.
Projects like these truly embody what obsessed for good means to us. We had an opportunity to support an organization making a real change. That’s energizing for our team and ultimately moving our community forward.
