Leadership at the University of Oklahoma (OU) wanted to refresh the school’s brand with new 30-second television spots that would air during football games, reaching a larger national and regional audience. OU wanted to tell a story that would draw people in and effectively deliver its message.

What We Did

We developed a campaign of three spots that creatively conveyed information about the university and the campus. As we wrote the voiceover to be performed by President David Boren, our team focused on establishing the unique claims of the university, such as OU’s leading enrollment of National Merit Scholars, and providing more promotional communications about the university. To create a compelling visual narrative, we included more than a half dozen beloved campus landmarks.


The “POV” spot won a Telly Award for creativity and production value, and the other spots aired during top-rated programs in Oklahoma, the region and the nation. The spots also received significant airtime on OU’s new proprietary network and as digital advertisements during online sports broadcasts.
