In Oklahoma, 1 in 4 women are victims of domestic violence, and the state is 3rd worst in the country of cases where abuse results in a woman’s death. YWCA Oklahoma City is devoted to combating this horrible problem in our community and, for the past few months, we have been working with them to take action against domestic violence.
The “Uncomfortable Campaign” is the creative outcome of an approximate $72,000 contract awarded through Saxum’s Step Up grant, now in its fifth year, providing breakthrough strategies for nonprofits in the communities where we live.
With the “Uncomfortable Campaign,” YWCA has brought attention to the growing endemic that plagued our community through a series of television commercials, billboards, a website, social media and media relations efforts to spread the story of domestic violence. The campaign itself does not hide from the uncomfortable topic of domestic abuse; instead, it amplifies it through all marketing platforms we use in all of our campaigns.
Saxum is proud to help great organizations like the YWCA and its efforts to fight domestic violence by utilizing the latest tools and trends in marketing communications.
