What attracted you to Saxum?

Renzi was my mentor when I was a student ambassador at the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Oklahoma. He encouraged me to visit Saxum and apply for a fulltime position. Saxum is a great place to work because of its incredibly talented people. We all care about each and every client and will go the extra mile to help them achieve success. I am so grateful I have the opportunity to work at such an amazing agency.

Over the past seven years, more than 50 clients in the nonprofit, education, healthcare, consumer and financial sectors have benefitted from Houda Elyazgi’s strategic communication expertise. Her varied experiences include work for organizations like Walmart Foundation, Teach for America, The Giving Pledge Learning Series and George Kaiser Family Foundation. Houda also oversees Saxum’s Step Up program, a pro bono services grant for qualifying nonprofits.

Saxum’s clients appreciate Houda’s unique insights, garnered during a career that has taken her to destinations like Madaba, Jordan and Doha, Qatar. Her experience dealing with issues of diversity, equality, poverty and public policy make her a tremendous asset in devising and executing communication strategies for Saxum clients.

In her spare time, Houda volunteers for a variety of organizations in her community. She also enjoys crafting and hosting parties for friends and family.
