If you’re not familiar with our early history, you may not know that C. Renzi Stone, our CEO, started Saxum in his living room 13 years ago. He quickly hired his first employee, now Senior Vice President of HR and Operations, Sara Walker. Saxum officially filed as an LLC on July 29, 2003 and by 2004, we added our third employee and first creative team member. As the years flew by, both the team and the client list grew exponentially. In 2006, Saxum joined IPREX, a global network of communication agencies in 33 countries, with 75 partners and more than $200 million in revenue supporting clients worldwide.
Fast forward a few years and Saxum opened an office in Tulsa’s Brady Arts District in April 2010 and our Oklahoma City office moved to our current space in the historic Kirkpatrick building in February 2011. Before we knew it, the demand for integrated services and a one-stop-shop was rapidly growing among our clients and prospective clients, and we made investments to grow our digital team and offerings during the fall of 2012.
As strategic branding is one of the services we offer, Saxum realized the importance of making sure our agency branding is sleek, meaningful and bold. In early 2013, we launched our new brand and committed ourselves to our mantra of “A Better Bold.” Let’s just say, we’ve seen a few looks in our day and I think our current one suits us best by far.
